SANDIE WHITE – THE VOICE OF TIMELESS JAZZ In the grand theatre of music, there exists a rare breed of artist—one whose journey transcends time, borders, and generations. Sandie White is such an artist. From the smoky jazz clubs of 1950s London to the prestigious stages of New York, her voice has been a beacon of ‘cool and sophistication’. Like a migratory bird drawn to the most vibrant musical landscapes, Sandie’s career has taken her across continents where she has enchanted audiences in television’s golden era and shared the stage with some of the greats—Lionel Hampton, Zoot Sims, and Oscar Pettiford, to name a few. Whether headlining at Ronnie Scott’s in London, dazzling crowds at Birdland NYC, or curating Sydney’s most exclusive underground jazz club, The Sardine Can, Sandie brings passion, authenticity, and world-class musicianship to every performance. She collaborated with American born Pianist, the late Vince Genova on the acclaimed LP Angel Eyes, became a fixture at Terrace Vale Winery in the Hunter Valley, and held residencies at Quincy’s in Cremorne and Top of The Treasury at the Intercontinental Hotel, Sydney. She also played a pivotal role in Mark Murphy’s first Australian Jazz Singers Summit and appeared alongside Mark in ABC TV’s “Don Burrow’s The Supper Club Presents”. Even now, the story of Sandie White keeps on going, each performance another chapter in a tale of passion, resilience, and artistic excellence. Sandie recently celebrated 70 years in the music business, with a concert at Church Street Studios in Sydney, an acknowledgement of her love of jazz and all things musical. And still working, at 88, with the greats of Australian Jazz – such as Kevin Hunt, Peter Locke, Eric Ajaye, Craig Scott, Jim Piesse, Jim Pennell, Phil Stack, Hugh Barrett and many others, hers is a voice that carries the history of jazz itself—a living testament. MEREDITH O’REILLY Meredith has been an entertainer for over 40 years. She has a residency with her jazz quartet The Mezzanines each month at Knox St Bar in Chippendale since November 2024. Meredith is a frequent guest vocalist with Dan Barnett Big Band and at Avalon Bowlo Wednesday Jazz Club. In 2026 her first album, Wiser, with The Mezzanines & featuring jazz standards and original songs will be released. She was also the singer with Horns Plus Big Band for 10 years and Tres Mambo Big Band before that. In the 1980's when Sydney had a really vibrant jazz scene, Meredith's duo Mood Indigo performed at many fun and quirky venues (like Pastels Cafe behind Theatre Royal) that are now sadly gone. Meredith performed 7 different one woman cabaret shows at Oxford Street’s Claire’s Kitchen from 2019 to 2025. Her one woman show Curtains! about the ups & downs of showbiz has played regional theatres and cabaret venues throughout NSW from 2019-2025. In 2024/25 Meredith played Maria in the new smash hit Australian musical, The Grandparents Club & the sequel Cruising With The Grandparents Club, alongside Home & Away's Lynne McGranger, touring NSW, QLD, VIC, S.A. & Tasmania. Meredith played Grandma Addams in The Addams Family at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre. She was nominated for Helpmann & Green Room Awards for her role Hold Me-Touch Me in Mel Brooks’ The Producers (Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane) and was nominated for a Glugs Award playing Sylvia St Croix in Ruthless at Seymour Centre,Sydney. In recent years she was in Opera Australia’s productions of My Fair Lady directed by Dame Julie Andrews & The Sound Of Music (Sydney, Brisbane,Melbourne), playing housekeeper Frau Schmidt for 6 weeks in Sydney. Other highlights include the first Aust/NZ tour of Les Miserables, Love Never Dies (Melbourne/Sydney), Hello Dolly! national tour, Chess (Melbourne) and The Rocky Horror Show (Sydney). She appeared in Gypsy directed by Nancye Hayes as Tessie Tura and How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying as Smitty at Melbourne's State Theatre. Meredith has performed in TV shows, commercials, has hosted radio programs and she narrated audio books for Vision Australia for 10 years.
