Event description

Please join us at the One Door Mental Health Symposium, scheduled to take place on Thursday, 15th May 2025, at Pullman Sydney Hyde Park.

For over 20 years, the One Door Symposium has been a forum for leading advocates, researchers, and practitioners to present research and workshop insights to achieve meaningful change in the mental health sector.

This year’s symposium will explore the theme ‘From Vision to Action - Driving Meaningful Change in Mental Health’. Building upon the success of previous events, we hope to encourage participation while promoting the importance of collective efforts in achieving meaningful change.

We are excited to announce a diverse lineup of expert speakers who will contribute to this year’s discussions, including thought leaders from across the mental health and research sectors, including:

  • The Hon. Rose Jackson, NSW Minister for Mental Health - Sharing insights on the vision for system reform in NSW
  • Rachel Green, CEO of SANE - A showcase of SANE's digital services
  • Ellie Hodges, CEO and Founder of LELAN - Walking the Path of Change Together: The Leadership, Disruption, and Innovation We Can All Benefit From
  • Prof. Nick Glozier, Professor of Psychological Medicine at the University of Sydney - The role of psychedelics in the treatment of mental illness
  • Anne-Louise Biddle, Strategy and Implementation Lead from Open Dialogue Centre - The use of the Open Dialogue approach in a clinical program setting

Following the merger of One Door Mental Health and Mind Australia, we are proud to host our annual symposium alongside the Mind's Stratford Lecture, in Sydney. These complementary thought leadership events will represent our shared commitment to supporting people living with mental health challenges, and positively contributing to sector reform - a key factor in our decision to join forces in 2024.
