Description

History isn’t just about memorising dates — it’s about understanding stories, decisions, and how the past shapes the world today.

In this small-group session for Year 3–6 students, lessons are built around key historical themes and events, explored through guided discussion, short activities, and simple source analysis. Students learn how to follow timelines, identify cause and effect, and make sense of different perspectives.

Rather than worksheets alone, the focus is on thinking: asking questions, forming opinions, and explaining ideas clearly. Students might examine a historical figure, unpack an event, or piece together what life was like in a different time period.

The small group format allows for individual support while encouraging conversation and shared ideas, helping students build both understanding and confidence.

Best suited to students who enjoy learning about the past, want extra support with school history, or need help developing clearer thinking and explanation skills.
