    Our Explore modules provide an introduction to the Bioregional Australia Foundation and the One Planet Living (OPL) framework, the program and process for use and recognition levels, how to get involved and the benefits of using the global vision. The introduction is provided across two one hour webinars that include case studies in Australia and overseas. Introduction training can be taken in any order.


    This is the First  Part of the Explore One Planet Living program

    Module 1A | One Planet Living Overview

    An introduction to the Bioregional Australia Foundation and an overview of the One Planet Living International framework, purpose, principles and application in the region.

    ONE HOUR INTRODUCTION 11.00 am to 12.00 pm AEDT

    Training is on the Second Tuesday of each month - Next training are:

    One Planet Living is an international framework, with a universal vision, that is applied to the regional or local context. The framework is applicable across multiple sectors in order to develop a shared vision with individuals and partners. Sectors include:

    • Communities – mixed-use residential developments and tourism accommodation;
    • Schools – from early learning centres to educational institutes
    • companies and organisations
    • Cities and regions - local and regional governments

    This training course is for:

    Anyone wanting to understand the process for applying the One Planet Living framework including communities, organisations, companies and government officers who will facilitate, inspire, engage or partner on the One Planet Program process internally or in consultation with client partners.

    Content

    The overall training course which includes  Explore Modules 1A and 1B - Learn Modules 2A- and 2 B   should be done before undertaking the Implement Modules MA 3 A and 3B - as they provide an overview of One Planet Living vision, ten principles and 'Goals and Guidance'. It covers the One Planet Program process including the One Planet Program Analysis and One Planet Action Plan.

    Activities include:

    • Developing context analysis and visioning for a One Planet Analysis
    • Developing outcomes, indicators, and timeframes for a One Planet Action Plan
    • Developing strategies and actions, targets and measures for a One Planet Action Plan
    • Pre-training material will be provided by email one week prior to the event.

    Please note: The completion of all the Explore One Planet Program Training and Learn One Planet Living modules   and membership of Bioregional Australia Foundation is a prerequisite for the Implement One Planet Living Modules for Integrator Training Module 3A and 3B 

    Outcomes

    On completion, course participants will have knowledge of the One Planet Living framework. Participants will understand the One Planet Analysis and Action Plan, and the reporting requirements and assessment requirements as part of the national and international recognition.

    Level of Knowledge / Skills Required

    Pre-reading and activities will be required and completion of 
    Explore Modules 1A and 1B - Learn Modules 2A- and 2 B  and  Implement Modules MA 3 A

    It is recommended that you access the previous material prior to starting this Course.

    Group Size

    To maximise your learning, we keep class sizes small. The maximum class size for this training online is 16 people. We require a minimum class size of 5 people to proceed.
