One right interpretation? Any interpretation?
Event description
Qualitative Data Analysis at UTS series
'One right interpretation? Any interpretation?'
This is the first session in the ten-part series: Qualitative Data Analysis at UTS. The aim of this series is to showcase and celebrate the diverse and innovative ways UTS researchers are working with qualitative data.
In this session Dr Nick Hopwood, from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, will examine fundamental questions that all analysts of qualitative data must confront: Are you looking for one ‘right’ way to interpret the data? If not, does that mean any interpretation is okay? What lies in between these? The workshop will look at concrete strategies that can be used to open up qualitative analysis to richness and plurality of insight, while also maintaining rigour and robustness in the process.*
* please note, this session will be recorded.
