Description

This is a fortnightly online Dungeons & Dragons game for transgender, gender diverse, and non-binary people aged 18+ across Victoria. The game will run for six sessions and is for both first time players and experienced Dungeons & Dragons players. Each session will have a maximum of six players. If more than six players register, the waitlist will be activated and used if needed.

Dates:

1st December

All sessions will be held 6:30pm - 9:00pm

About the session:

“In a world where near-world ending apocalyptic events are as common as a change in the seasons, life is never dull. With every new cataclysm, parties of adventurers and heroes across land, sea, and sky collectively take on the quest of saving their world and receiving the highest honour of being named the Saviours of the Realm.

As the world celebrates the narrow halt of the last apocalypse at the hands of the newest Saviours, an incipient catastrophe begins. People are disappearing - ‘blinking’ out of existence every hour. Regular citizens, adventurers, even the Saviours of the Realm, new and old - nobody one is safe once the clocks chime. And with each passing hour, the number of ‘blinked’ grows larger. Some reappear with no memory at all of their disappearance, but some come back… changed.

You and your courageous friends must answer the call to adventure, find out why people are disappearing and save the world from its newest armageddon - The Blink.”

What to expect:

  • The facilitator and Dungeon Master for the session will be Ulysses (they/she).

  • The session will run for approximately 2.5 hours using Zoom to play and DnDBeyond to create your character. You will need to make an account on DnDBeyond if you do not have one already.

  • During the session, there will be a guided check-in with all participants and an establishment of a group safety agreement, the actual play of the D&D game, and finally a guided check-out.

  • If possible, please log in via a laptop or PC in a private and preferably quiet place where you will not be interrupted. Please be mindful of your camera and microphone to avoid distracting the other attendees.

  • After registering, you will receive a form from Ulysses with the relevant information about accessing DnDBeyond and a place to inform the DM of any ‘lines and veils’ to keep in mind when running the game.

About the Dungeon Master:

Ulysses Thomas (they/she) is an experienced groupwork facilitator, has been an avid DM of Dungeons & Dragons games for seven years and a player for much longer. Passionate about storytelling, intersectionality and community care, Ulysses can usually be found working at queer events, facilitating training to various organisations, or even running the odd chainmail workshop at the Affirmation Station.

Who is it for:

  • Transgender, gender diverse, and non-binary folks age 18+

  • The group is neurodivergent, POC, and all abilities friendly

  • First time D&D players, though experienced players are welcome also
