About the event: 

This is an interactive online workshop. This session will be recorded, however we encourage you to try and attend this session live to get the most out of this online workshop. All registrants will be sent a recording after the event.

This online session is a chance for parents of students with disability to connect with some other families, be informed about current information about inclusive education, and develop skills so they can feel confident in partnering with their children’s schools.

About the Presenters:

This online workshop will be delivered by CRU facilitators passionate about inclusive education and experienced in advocating for inclusion.

Who Should Attend?

Parents and carers of school-aged children (Prep to Year 12) with disability. Parents and carers of younger children who are starting to think about/prepare for the school years are also most welcome to attend. This workshop will be helpful for families who are new to inclusive education, and those who want to refresh their knowledge.


What do I need to participate?

CRU will be using Zoom meetings as a platform. To participate you will need:

  • a computer, tablet or smart phone with internet access 
  • speakers/sound
  • a microphone and video camera are not essential but will be helpful for your participation

Date: Wednesday 12th February 2025
Time: 10:00am - 11:30am

  • This workshop will be held via a Zoom Session and log-in details will be sent to participants who register a few days prior to the event
  • Log-in will be available 15 minutes prior to each event commencing  

RSVP by Monday 10th February 5pm. 

Learning Objectives

Come and learn about:
• What inclusion looks like – from the classroom to the playground
• The evidence in favour of inclusive education
• Inclusive education policies and supports
• How can parents work most effectively with school for their child’s inclusive education
