Course Description:
This beginner-friendly Online Learning Series course provides an essential introduction to Incident Action Plans (IAPs) and how to effectively navigate and use Guardian IMS for disaster and emergency response. This online learning session is designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge to write an IAP that provides stakeholders with clear, concise, and actionable information.
Target Audience:
This Online Learning Series is ideal for LDCC Reserve.
Course Aim:
The aim of this course is to enable participants to develop the ability to produce high-quality incident action plans that support the decision-making processes ensuring a coordinated and effective response during emergency and disaster events.
Course Objectives:
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the purpose and importance of IAPs
- Effectively navigate and use Guardian IMS to create IAPs
- Structure and format of IAPS
- Communicate effectively - write clear, concise, Strategies and objectives.
- Review and revise IAPs
Assumed knowledge/Prerequisites:
- QDMA (not mandatory)
- Guardian IMS User (not mandatory)
