Online Mentor Training - Sun 8 Dec 9am-5pm AEDT

Mentoring Men is a registered Australian charity providing free long-term one-to-one life mentoring programs for men Australia wide. We focus on a proactive approach, engaging Australian men who need helpful conversations and guidance to get on the right track before situations spiral into potential crisis. Our male-only mentors are caring volunteers who have decided to give some of their personal time to help another man in his life journey. 

Our definition of The Mentoring Men Mentor:

"A Mentor is someone who will listen, encourage, and support self-guidance and personal growth in another, whilst maintaining their own self-care”.  Can this be you?

Training outcome:

• Understand how the mentor role is to listen without judgement
• Learn the value of good questions and how to avoid ‘fixing’
• Experience mentorship from the perspective of both mentor and mentee

About the training course:

The online group mentor training and suicide prevention training is the chance for new mentors to train together and learn from one another. There is some brief mandatory e-learning to complete beforehand.

These online trainings are interactive "Cameras ON" sessions where you will work as an individual, in small groups and as a whole group.   PLEASE NOTE the training may be postponed and rescheduled if minimum numbers are not reached. 

Meeting Specifics - ALL TIMES ARE "AEDT"

The training will be online via Zoom. 48 hours prior to Day 1 of training you will be sent a welcome email including the Zoom meeting link.
