ONLINE Portrait Illustration Workshop
Event description
This is a 3 hour online drawing workshop intensive.
It's intensive, purely because we cover a lot of ground! I believe in you. Don't be alarmed by the online format, it works a treat specifically for this class. I will be sending you an illustration handbook full of tools and exercises which we go through via a shared screen on zoom, for each drawing exercise I provide immediate feedback via live drawing on my iPad. This is an extremely succinct way to ensure everyone gets the most out of this drawing workshop, and time for individual feedback. People of all ages and abilities are welcome, I work with where you are at.
We cover:
- Basic foundations of drawing.
- Portrait ratios and measurement
- Some of the the psych behind how and why we see the world the way we do
- How we break down these inherent ways of seeing so that we can become better artists but also better observers of life.
- Pencil and drawing techniques

What you will need:
A computer with access to zoom
Some paper, a lead pencil (in varying weights if possible), an eraser, and yourself (And optional snacks).
