Business Women Australia Online Roundtable: Scaling Smart - The HR Advantage

As your business grows, so do the complexities of leading people.

From hiring the right team and managing performance to navigating compliance and building a strong culture, many business owners and leaders find themselves carrying HR responsibilities without the time, structure, or support to do it well.

This interactive online roundtable, led by Elisia Coetzee, Founder and Director of Strategic HR, and co-hosted by Cathy Turner from Essential Plan Support Services, will also include a Business Women Australia welcome and update from Cathy. The session is designed for leaders who want to scale with confidence, without navigating the people side of business alone.

With over 26 years of experience in human resources and industrial relations, Elisia works with growing organisations across Australia to build practical, people-focused HR frameworks that support performance, culture, and compliance, tailored to the needs of each business.

This session is not a webinar or presentation, though you will get plenty of action-based takeaways you can apply in your own organisation immediately. This is designed as a deeper facilitated conversation, bringing together business owners, managers, and directors to explore the real challenges and opportunities of scaling teams in today’s environment.

In this session, we will explore:

  1. The key HR challenges that emerge as businesses grow

  2. How to balance compliance with culture and performance

  3. Common people-related risks, and how to stay ahead of them

  4. Practical ways to build a strong, aligned, and accountable team

  5. When and why to engage fractional or part-time HR support

You will leave with greater clarity, insight, and the confidence to strengthen your people strategy.

Whether you are leading a team of 10 or 100, this roundtable will help you understand how to create a workplace where your people perform, stay, and contribute to long-term success.

Places are limited to maintain a high-quality, interactive discussion. Register today for the Zoom link.

Your complimentary HR Compliance Audit and Report

As part of Elisia's leadership in our community, she has recommended that you take advantage of her HR Compliance Audit and Report, ideally before this interactive online webinar. Head to the website: Strategic HR | HR Services and Solutions. The audit is designed to help business owners and leaders get a clear snapshot of how their current HR practices stack up across five key areas:

  1. Contracts & Industrial Relations Compliance

  2. Pay & Record Keeping

  3. Policies & Procedures

  4. Workplace Practices & Development

  5. Culture

The audit takes around 5 minutes to complete and is practical, relevant, and easy to interpret, no HR jargon, no guesswork.

What you’ll receive

Instant on-screen results, showing whether you are compliant, partially compliant, or non-compliant in each area. A personalised PDF report will be emailed to you, including:

  1. Your overall HR compliance score

  2. A clear colour-coded summary (Green / Orange / Red)

  3. Practical starting points to help you prioritise next steps
