Business Women Australia Online Q&A: Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSFs), Taxes and Wealth

Curious about self-managed superannuation funds and need to know more?

Self-managed super funds can offer greater control, flexibility and investment choice, but they also come with important responsibilities, tax considerations and compliance obligations.

For many women, the challenge is knowing what questions to ask before making decisions.

Join Business Women Australia for an interactive online Q&A with Helen Nan, Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and Stacey Payrits, Chartered Accountant and Partner at LG Accounting Solutions, as they explore SMSFs through both a financial planning and accounting lens.

This will be a practical, guided conversation exploring the real questions SMSF owners, business owners, professionals, and investors are asking.

Helen and Stacey will share key insights and updates, respond to your questions, and help unpack the ‘ins and outs’ of SMSFs. Grow your understanding and connect with a great group of women.

Together, we will explore:

What an SMSF is and why some people consider establishing one
The investment opportunities and responsibilities that may come with greater control
Common tax, accounting and compliance considerations
Property, diversification and investment choice inside super
The role of accountants, financial planners and other advisers
Common misconceptions, mistakes and red flags
What to consider before deciding whether an SMSF is right for you
The questions worth asking before taking the next step

This session is for you if you are:

Curious about SMSFs but unsure whether they are relevant to your circumstances
A senior executive, business owner, professional or investor thinking more seriously about wealth creation
Interested in property, superannuation or long-term investment structures
Wanting to build confidence in conversations with your accountant or financial planner
Keen to learn in a practical, accessible and supportive environment

Important note

This session is general in nature and designed for education and discussion. It does not provide personal financial, tax, legal or investment advice. Participants should seek advice based on their own circumstances.
