Online Studio

Online Studio is a low-key creative group where you are welcome to join from the comfort of your home and create, make and just be in the company of others. 

Suitable for anyone with... 

- creative curiousity and openness to try something new 

- interest in developing a regular time to focus on creativity/making 

- interest in creative process/es

- need for more body double time in their week 

- a want to reconnect with their creative hobbies 

- lots of creative projects but feeling stuck and wanting to be in company of others also working on creative things 

 

Structure 

- 2hrs to allow for spacious window of making/creating, drop in as you want/need 

- Gentle creative prompts offered at start as warm up exercise for those interested 

- Self-directed making ie. you are welcome to bring creative projects of your own that you are working on and do this at your own pace, it's an open space for you to make as you want in the virtual company of others 

For transparency 

- There is no expectation to talk, you can use the chat to make comments or share if you wish 

- Screen on/off - it's what you want and what feels comfortable

- May be good for anyone wanting to body double and just be in their own space with preferred creative materials 

- You can join at whatever time within the window of 6:00 - 8:00pm - there is no pressure to come at start and stay whole time, please decide what works for you 

- I am trialing this group as an idea to see whether there is interest, especially during colder months when it gets dark early and nights can be lonely. I am interested in co-creating community spaces for creativity to be expressed however it happens and so curious to see where this goes...open to feedback along the way

- Each drop-in session is it's own event, you can come to as many as you want - same time and day weekly (Sundays 6:00 - 8:00pm)

- Cost for event is to recognise time to create event info, skills involved in holding space for the group, time to send emails with links and respond to any follow up - trying to keep low to make it financially accessible! 

Access 

- Online event using Zoom - link will be sent once registered 

- Options for screen on/off - based on your comfort and preference 

- I speak English as primary language and community level Auslan - chat function can be used if preferring text and also live captioning available 

- All creative prompts are optional - consent is so important! - if you just want to login and do your own thing please do, take or leave prompts as you wish
