Online Mental Health First Aid course | Weekend Session
This course is the Standard MHFA (Mental Health First Aid) for tertiary and higher education context, which teaches adults (18 years and over) how to identify and provide initial support to another adult who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis, identifying common signs and symptoms of mental health concerns, and responding to the person until professional help is received or the crisis resolves. This course is developed by and accredited with Mental Health First Aid Australia and delivered by Licensed Instructor.
What happens after I purchase a ticket?
Your ticket includes places for 6 participants.
You will receive an email requesting details of the participants.
Each participant's account will be set up on the Mental Health First Aid Australia's platform.
Participants will be sent instructions for e-learning (5-7 hours to complete) which MUST be completed prior to attending the online facilitated sessions.
Instructor-led sessions will be held on Saturday 9 August 2025 & Sunday 10 August 2025 (participants must attend both days) from 10:00AM - 12:30PM Sydney time on both days. The link will only be sent if you have completed the e-learning.
What happens after I complete the e-learning and the online sessions?
After completing both the e-learning and the online sessions, participants will be sent a link to complete the Accreditation Assessment by Mental Health First Aid Australia. If they pass the assessment, they will receive a digital Certificate of Accreditation which lasts 3 years and will become an Accredited Mental Health First Aider (MHFAider).

Please check with your higher education institution or course coordinator if you are unsure whether the Tertiary MHFA is right for you if you are seeking to complete it to meet specific course requirements.
Participants must attend both days of the online sessions. If any participant misses one or both days, a re-sitting fee of $165 + GST + Humanitix booking fee will apply to book into a future course. If participants need to resit, please contact the organiser.
The online sessions may be postponed to a later date if the minimum number of participants required has not been met. Participants will be informed accordingly and offered a future weekend session option.
Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
