Event description

Learn how to use visual elements to improve your notetaking and enhance your communications!

Pictures are exciting! Thinking Visually unpacks the idea of using simple, hand drawn images to capture ideas, tell stories or to visually describe events.

In this four hour workshop, Julia Curtis and Kylie Dunn will build your skills to practically apply visual thinking by learning about framing concepts, drawing ideas and bringing words to life. In this session, we'll be focusing on capturing your own notes and telling stories in pictures and words.

NOTE: Registrations for this event will close on Monday 12th June to allow us time to mail out the materials and resources!

This course is designed for anyone who wants to improve their note taking and design communication skills - regardless of the work you do. It's a skill that can be used by everyone at work or home to improve how you think and how you communicate those thoughts.

Benefits of the course

  • Visual note taking helps improve memory retention - a great technique for study notes and also developing communications that stick.
  • Visual components in your communication assist with providing context - benefits of making your communication more engaging and easier to understand.
  • Visual capture in meetings can help bring out key ideas, messages and themes - while being an engaging and easily interpreted medium.
  • It builds visual techniques to expand your brain!

We hope that after this workshop every list will tell a story, notebooks will burst with colour and your ideas will blossom with the assistance of pictures.

Cost of workshop

Julia and Kylie believe in providing a high quality workshop experience without the high price tag! Since we work so much with the community sector, the course is priced in a way that is inclusive and attainable for all organisations. We are highly experienced and skilled trainers who provide personalised instruction in a small group setting. Furthermore, we will mail you out the required materials and resources as part of the course price.

Let’s start Thinking Visually.
