Join us at Wombat, an Australian mental health organization, for a free webinar on November 10th, designed to expand healthcare professionals' understanding of chronic pain. This event will explore the role of neuroplasticity, mindfulness, and mental health in managing chronic pain and is accredited for 1 hour of CPD. Our two esteemed guest speakers, Oliver Crossley and Violeta Blengio, will share their insights and experiences on these crucial topics.

Oliver Crossley

Oliver Crossley is a Physiotherapist, Yoga and Meditation teacher, and trainer with over a decade of experience. He integrates a holistic and mindful approach to Physiotherapy, recognizing the inseparable connection between mind and body. His practice is informed by his personal journey with Long COVID and ME/CFS, which has deepened his understanding of pain and fatigue management.

Oliver’s lived experience, combined with his evidence-informed yet flexible approach to physiotherapy, tailors his practice to the unique needs of each individual. He has taught pain management courses and workshops to personal trainers and yoga teachers both in Australia and internationally.

Violeta Blengio

Violeta Blengio is a seasoned psychologist based in Byron Bay, offering therapy both in-person and via telehealth at Wombat. With over ten years of experience, she is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), addressing mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD. She also offers EMDR treatment and is accepting new patients.

Originally from Argentina, Violeta brings a multicultural perspective to her practice and is fluent in both English and Spanish. She has extensive experience supporting LGBTQIA+ patients and is dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive space for all clients. Her therapy focuses on helping individuals achieve emotional balance, inner peace, and personal growth.
