Have your children been struggling with executive functioning skills such as, time management, task initiation, focus and concentration, emotional regulation, planning and organising or working memory while they have been learning at home?

Working memory and executive functioning skills are required in all aspects of learning and everyday life. This workshop will examine what working memory is, and how it is needed for learning and development. We will look at many practical strategies to support and develop executive functioning skills including working memory skills.

This course is NESA Accredited - Australian Gifted Support Centre is endorsed to provide the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Registered Professional Development for teachers accredited at Proficient level Teacher 

This program will contribute 2 hours of QTC Registered PD addressing 1.1.2, 1.5.2, 6.4.2 from the Australian Professional standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.

PRESENTER: Helen Dudeney (M.Ed, Dip. Counc, COGE,) of The AUSTRALIAN GIFTED SUPPORT CENTRE  is a consultant and teacher with expertise in working with gifted children and a special interest in the identification and needs of gifted underachievers including gifted visual spatial learners who are experiencing learning, social or behaviour problems. She has 11 years experience as a lecturer in undergraduate and post graduate courses about gifted education at ACU and Murdoch University. In addition to her 20 years experience in designing and presenting professional learning for classroom teachers from preschool to senior high school she is a regular presenter at State, National and International conferences.
