What happens when we allow the breath to become our teacher, our creative partner, and our guide?

Join us for three hours of exploration through breath, movement, creativity, and embodied inquiry. Together, we'll deepen our relationship with the breath through experiential practices that weave together science, somatic awareness, expressive movement, and the creative arts.

As we listen more closely to the breath, we discover not only how it shapes the body, but how it can open pathways to imagination, emotion, expression, and connection. Through movement, drawing, writing, and reflection, we'll explore the many ways breath speaks—sometimes as sensation, sometimes as image, sometimes as story, sometimes as a dance.

Grounded in the Tamalpa Life/Art Process, this workshop invites Breath as an intelligent guide, a creative muse, a trusted companion, and a gateway to the universal rhythms that move through us all.

Natan Daskal RSME, MA, is a dancer, educator, and bodyworker and has taught movement and the expressive arts to children, youth, and adults in diverse settings. A member of Tamalpa’s core faculty since 2016, he has extensive teaching experience working directly with Anna Halprin as her teaching assistant in public workshops and classes. Natan studied ballet at the Joffrey School in New York City, received his BFA in Communication Design at Parsons the New School for Design, and received his MA in Education at Goddard College where he studied the intersection of somatics, creativity, and community education. He is also a Certified Massage Therapist, Craniosacral Therapist, and has completed certification programs in somatic education at Moving on Center, and in mindfulness-based somatic psychotherapy at the Hakomi Institute of California. Participants must have a Zoom account and be logged into that account to attend. The Zoom account must match the email that they registered with.

The meeting will be locked 15 minutes after the start time - so participants will need to arrive before then.

All participants are strongly encouraged turn on their cameras to help build a safe container, engender connection, and improve security. If you have a specific reason for keeping your camera off, please communicate this to the Zoom host at the start of the workshop.

REFUND POLICY: Refunds will only be given if cancellation is received at least 48 hours before the start of the workshop.
