Only Woman in the Room – A panel event
Event description
We invite you to a special panel event as part of the "The Only Woman in the Room" initiative, designed to enhance the confidence, well-being, and sense of belonging of female (and including gender-diverse) students and staff within the Faculty of SET.
Are you frequently the only person in the room like you? You're not alone - it's a common experience in engineering and other STEM careers. Join us to create a meaningful dialogue on building confidence and thriving in engineering and other STEM careers. Our panelists will offer practical strategies and personal insights to support and inspire the female (and inclusive of gender-diverse) members of our community in the Faculty of SET at the University of Adelaide. This panel will feature a diverse group of female engineers at various stages of their careers, sharing their journeys, challenges, and successes. Our panelists are:
- Dr. Laura Brooks, Head of Innovation and Improvement, ASC Pty Ltd
- Margaret Gayen, Senior Engineer, The Energy Project - Australia
- Hannah Vine Hall, Mission Operations Engineer, Space Machines Company
- Nathaly Mora, Senior Systems Safety Engineer
