Op shop like a legend – personal shopping and style advice
Event description
Style can be learned – let's learn in a safe, joyful, low-risk way in this small group session
Does your style need refreshing? Has your body or life changed and your clothes don't feel right any more? Ever secretly wished Trinny and Susannah would swing by and go through your wardrobe (though without the criticism and snark)?
Join a small group of lovely people on this op shop visit to learn how to see yourself differently (and less critically), to assess the fit of garments and analyse how they work with your body and colouring.
I've chosen an op shop because a) I'm a fan of re-use, b) they have a wider range of colours and styles than what's currently in fashion in shops at the moment, c) it's a low-risk way to try new styles and d) money you spend goes to charity.
In this session you’ll get:
- personal style advice and attention
- encouragement and feedback as you try different types of clothing to start to define or refine your style
- advice on how to go op shopping without overwhelm (or over-buying) – so you can go op shopping confidently in future
- help to find something specific, if you have an event coming up
- second opinions on colours and fabrics that suit you
- (fingers-crossed) some new items you love and will wear the heck out of
- the confidence to go home and alter or donate things that don’t work for you
- lots of laughs, wonderful company and maybe some new op shopping buddies.
Sessions are limited to just five people so we can all bond quickly and I can give each of you lots of my attention.
Format: a creative, practical and joyful 1.5 hour op shop romp, followed by an optional cuppa and chat afterwards in a nearby coffee shop.
This venue is accessible, with off-street parking. Access to this op shop is via a driveway off Main Road.
