DJs BIGWATER are big... and very watery. Not in a wishy-washy watery way – there is nothing diluted about these exceptionally talented babes – watery in an essential, life force kind of way. Like diving through waves at the beach and becoming like a dog, losing all sense of inhibition. DJ's BIGWATER are dynamic duo Bek Coogan and Erica Grant. Both esteemed musicians and artists in their own rights, their combined performance on the decks will be an aural and visual feast for the senses that will have you laughing, dancing, singing and screaming for more. This event will be the most fun you will ever have in an opshop with party games, raffle, spot prizes and a big store sale that will last all day.

We founded the Black Sheep Animal Sanctuary in 2009, hoping to make a difference in the lives of farm animals and offer a safe haven for those who have nowhere else to go. Since then, we have rescued and rehabilitated thousands of animals, many of whom lived their lives out happily at the sanctuary or were adopted into loving homes. We currently have about 100 animals who call the Black Sheep their home, and taking care of them is no small feat.

To celebrate how far we’ve come, and to give us some momentum going into our 16th year, we are hoping to raise $15,000! These funds will be used to cover the cost of essential feed and vet bills. These areas make up a huge portion of our regular spending and over the past year we have spent $31,556 on animal feed and $32,161 on veterinary costs.

While we are lucky to have a steady source of funding from our Opportunity for Animals op shops and animal sponsorships, with rising costs we are struggling to stay afloat. This past winter we burnt right through our savings, leaving us with no safety net for unexpected expenses.
Despite this, we are motivated to continue on because the animals need us! And we are so incredibly grateful for all of our achievements over the last 15 years, made possible by our incredible supporters. Therefore, we are not just simply running a fundraiser, but a month full of extravaganza events to celebrate with everyone who supports the campaign!
