Open Access at UTS: Unlocking knowledge for social justice
Event description
Open Access and Social Justice
The Open Access movement aims to democratise scholarly knowledge for the public good. While traditionally aligned to journal publications, the movement now encompasses Open Education and Open Research. At UTS, we pride ourselves on our commitment to deliver positive social change through our teaching and research. Wider adoption of Open Access is arguably a very practical mechanism to support social justice, by widening participation and demonstrating that we are truly an inclusive university.
Panel session:
Join our panel of speakers who will unpack what Open Access means at UTS and how we can transition and benefit from these new models of openness.
This session is part of the Open Access at UTS 2021 program.
