Open Baptists 2026 Conference (online)

Open Baptists is a new movement of Baptist churches in Australia and New Zealand, open to the diversity of people God gathers into our churches and open to the diversity of ways that God calls us to respond in our local contexts. This event, to be held online in June 2026, will gather both those who are already involved and those who are still curious, to explore the question: 

How do we, as Open Baptists, explore, and courageously and generously share, life lived to the full?

Come with your questions and ideas; the agenda will be full of open space to discuss them all with others who share your interest.

Keynote Speaker - Tanya Riches

Our keynote speaker will be Dr Tanya Riches, Director of the Master of Transformational Development, Eastern College Australia, will be exploring how we, as Open Baptists build a resilient, courageous, and generous faith - and how we do this together. How do we encourage drawing on community – rather than withdrawing – when the journey is long and arduous? What does it mean to be part of the communion of the saints?
