    What is a contact officer?

Contact officers play a key role in workplaces, acting as “go-to” staff members who assist employees experiencing discrimination, bullying, or harassment. Generally, contact officers are not human resources staff or managers as these roles may conflict with the responsibilities of a contact officer.

Now widely incorporated across government, business, and community sectors as a proactive measure in preventing discrimination, bullying, and harassment, contact officers can help to create a positive workplace culture.

Our training scenarios are inspired by real situations drawn from our own investigation and conciliation service, so that you receive an authentic and relevant training experience.

    Learning Outcomes
    • Develop knowledge and understanding of discrimination, bullying and harassment
    • Identify the relevant legal frameworks
    • Identify effective skills and strategies for responding to allegations of bullying, harassment and discrimination
    • Apply knowledge and skills to scenarios relating to day-to-day work.
