Open Farm Day: La Croix Regeneration Centre

The Sustainable Cooperative invites you to meet and engage with some of the island’s most exciting growers and producers. All of our farmers share an interest in regenerative and organic farming practices, nurturing local ecological habitats and protecting natural resources. A tour of each farm is followed by some delicious food, prepared with ingredients grown or produced on the site.

La Croix Regeneration Centre

Organic smallholder Nikki de Gruchy, runner up in the 2025 Channel Island Conservation Awards, has been regenerating her family farm, after over two decades of intensive monocrop potato production. Nikki uses pedigree Jerseys in an Adaptive Multi-Paddock (AMP) and silvopasture grazing system, heritage and rare breed poultry, and agroforestry, to rebuild the soil and ecosystems.  

A qualified somatic and trauma therapist, Nikki is passionate about encouraging reconnection back to our land and food system and hosts wellness and other events throughout the year. Farming for the future, her aim is to create a nature-friendly community space centred on biodiversity enhancement, where all life is respected and nurtured. 

This event is suitable for families, but children must be closely supervised around the livestock.   

La Croix Annual Easter Egg Hunt!

You are warmly invited to stay on after lunch for our annual Easter Egg Hunt and Natural Dyeing Workshop for children, led by Nina Zaech, Artist in Residence at Highlands College School of Art. This will run from 2pm to 4pm. Please email lacroixregenerationcentre@gmail.com for further details and to book your space.

SCOOP Open Farm Days

Our Open Farm Days are aimed at those interested or actively involved in sustainable regenerative farming practices and local food systems. They look to create a network of support among existing growers and those who might be considering a farming future, while also connecting local producers with consumers, to foster a greater understanding and appreciation towards the work local farmers do for the community.

Our Open Farm Days are supported by Farm Jersey and are open to all. Please let us know if you have any questions regarding accessibility. Directions to the site will be sent by email once you have reserved your space.
