The Bird in Hand Estate, recently awarded South Australian 'GARDEN OF THE YEAR' is opening up for two exclusive Open Garden events on 21 and 22 February.

Attendees will be welcomed with a glass of Bird in Hand 'O' Sparkling on arrival, before heading to the Kitchen Garden where award-winning LVN Executive Chef, Jacob Davey, will delve into the inspiring ways he uses the planet-to-plate philosophy in his ever-changing menu. 

Following this, Bird in Hand Co-Owner and Garden Designer, Susie Nugent, will join Jacob and the pair will host an interactive Q&A, focusing on summer gardening. While in the Kitchen Garden, waiters will roam offering attendees three different canapés inspired by the LVN menu and 'O' Sparkling top ups.

Attendees will then embark on a tour of the Private Family Garden and Mediterranean terrace garden tour led by Susie Nugent herself, learning the ins and outs of keeping gardens alive in summer.

Once the tour is complete, guests are encouraged to stay on the Estate for lunch in Bird in Hand's Cellar Door or LVN Restaurant, which was awarded one of Australia's 'BEST NEW RESTAURANTS' in 2024.
