Panel Discussion and Centre Tour
Starting School: What Do I Need to Do?

We invite you to attend a meet and greet panel session on starting school with our team, followed by a tour of our service, as part of our Open House series of events.

Members of our Integrated Team of Educators and Allied Health therapists will provide you with an overview of what you need to know about your child starting school. Families are welcome to ask questions during the session, and you can also submit any questions you’d like answered by our team when you book your ticket here. Alternatively, please email any questions or topics you’d like discussed to childrensservices@theinfantshome.org.au

The panel discussion will cover:

  • What you need to know about your child starting school such as the age they can start, finding your local school, what you need to do to enrol your child at school
  • What to consider if you are deciding to whether to start your child at school earlier or later
  • What usually happens during school orientation programs and how you can make the most of your school’s program
  • How you can help your child develop the skills and confidence for a positive start at school
  • Practical tips for starting school and what your child will need.

Following the meet and greet panel session, families are invited to participate in a tour of our service to see our beautiful learning environments firsthand, meet our team and to observe our work in action.
