Travel instructions
Car: Street parking is available on Shoreline Drive (2 or 4-hour free parking) or at Rhodes Central (3 hours free parking). Train: 5-minute walk from Rhodes Station. Exit towards Rhodes Central, walk through the centre, and continue across two pedestrian crossings toward the foreshore to reach The Connection. Bus: Routes 410, 458, and 533 stop near Rhodes Station or Shoreline Drive. From there, it's a 5-minute walk to The Connection.
Entry instructions
The Learning Space is a library located within The Connection on Shoreline Drive, and is one of four buildings in the precinct. As you approach, you will see an outdoor amphitheatre and Building 2, which is signposted for The Learning Space. Please enter through the automatic doors.
After entry instructions
After entering The Learning Space through the automatic doors, you will see the open space area of the Library and a concierge desk where staff are located. Continue walking towards the back of the open area, and the last room on your right is the Makerspace, where our programs are held.
Hazards
There are no trip hazards, stairs, or push doors into the building. Entry to The Learning Space is through two automatic doors, then entrance to the Makerspace where the program is held, is a push door with braille. Within the Makerspace room, the setup has been designed to support accessibility needs, with clear pathways, accessible-height tables, and thoughtfully placed shelving.
Toilet location
Female, male, unisex, and accessible toilets are available inside The Learning Space and in the outdoor facilities at The Connection.
Accessible parking
There are two accessible street parking spots directly outside The Connection on Shoreline Drive. Street access to the building is flat and step-free, with no stairs.
