Explore the positive impact education can have in the lives of children and young people with an out-of-home care experience from the early years right through to university and TAFE. Join us to hear from a range of dynamic speakers with professional and lived experience expertise, highlighting the amazing work being done in Victoria and abroad to support care-experienced young people to thrive in their education.
Our forum will include:
- Inspiring keynote presentations from international and Australian lived experience experts and academics
- Workshops on a range of topics exploring good practice in supporting education for care-experienced children and young people
- A unique opportunity to network with other professionals across both the education and out-of-home care sectors
- Exciting awards recognising tenacious care-experienced young people and outstanding professionals working in the education and out-of-home care sectors

- Powering Potential: Educator Excellence Award - For exceptional educators who support and nurture care-experienced children’s growth and learning.
- Child Protection Education Champion Award – For a Child Protection practitioner who goes above and beyond to advocate for, and support, young people’s educational needs.
- Out-of-Home Care Education Advocate Award – For an out-of-home care caseworker or associated professional who champions and advocates for the educational needs and success of children in care.
- Raising Expectations Award: For a care-experienced young person who has demonstrated exceptional dedication and commitment to their education, overcoming challenges to pursue learning opportunities. This award is supported by Allan and Gill Grey Foundation.
