Opening | Crossing & Art as Sanctuary

Event description

Artmania artists in conversation | 5pm
Opening | 5.30pm

Join us to celebrate the opening of our next suite of exhibitions, Crossing by Fran O'Neill and Art as Sanctuary by Artmania artists.

Hear from the Art of Sanctuary artists in conversation with Artmania owner and director Shea O'Keefe at 5pm before the exhibitions are officially launched at 5.30pm.

Crossing brings together work completed over the last decade by one of the region’s most acclaimed artists, Fran O’Neill. Having built a significant international career, particularly in North America, for her evocative and vibrant abstract paintings, O’Neill has now permanently established her studio in the idyllic surrounds of Cheshunt.

Crossing traces her longing for ‘home’ in those year as an ex-pat, the development of her colour palette and the new work created in response to the quality of light and atmosphere of her Cheshunt studio.

Art as Sanctuary presents a diverse selection of new work from the resident studio artists currently attending Artmania Wangaratta, an all-inclusive space for people of all abilities to explore their own artistic interests in a variety of ways.

The exhibitions will be opened by Melinda Martin, CEO, Shepparton Art Museum.

Refreshments will be served. Book your free ticket now.
