    Event description

Open pedagogy is a teaching and learning approach that has emerged from the Open Culture movement. It is centred on the principles of openness, collaboration and shared ownership of knowledge.

The University of Technology Sydney (UTS) is honoured to have Professor Maha Bali, a distinguished educator who is a Professor of Practice at the Center for Learning and Teaching at The American University in Cairo (AUC), as a guest speaker at the UTS Open Education Week.

In her highly interactive presentation, Professor Bali will:

    • Introduce us to open pedagogy and open educational practices
    • Highlight the impact of open pedagogy on promoting a socially just education
    • Delve into practical strategies for adopting open pedagogy in creating learning activities and assessment
