Operation Art Returns
Description
Operation: Art Returns
We're back! And we couldn't be more excited to welcome you to another chapter of Operation: Art.
About Operation: Art
Operation: Art is a trauma-informed group art therapy program founded and facilitated by Taneal Barber, a Registered Art Therapist, Registered Nurse and practising artist, in collaboration with the Queensland Youth Cancer Service at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.
Created for adolescents and young adults impacted by cancer, the program offers a welcoming space to explore creativity, express yourself and connect with others who understand the cancer experience.
Through a range of expressive art-making experiences, Operation: Art supports emotional wellbeing, identity exploration, creative expression and meaningful peer connection.
About the Day
To celebrate our return, we're kicking things off with Creative Expression & Connection!
Join us for a relaxed morning of guided and free-flowing art-making, where we'll explore self-expression, connection and the creative process.
There's no right or wrong way to create, and absolutely no artistic experience required. Whether you're a seasoned creative or haven't picked up a paintbrush since school, everyone is welcome!
As always, expect a comfy, encouraging space to find your creative flow. Think music trades, good chats, a little junk food and plenty of creative freedom!
No pressure, no expectations — just an opportunity to express yourself, connect with others and enjoy making art together.
