OPH26 - Written in the Streets: An Architectural Walk Through Perth
Description
Starting at the State Buildings, this walk explores Perth through the architecture that has defined it. Moving from colonial barracks and nineteenth-century government offices to boom-era hotels, railway infrastructure, educational institutions, and contemporary heritage projects, we uncover the forces that have shaped the city's-built environment. Through questions of style, material, craftsmanship, adaptation, and urban change, the tour reveals how Perth's history is written into its streets. It is a journey through nearly two centuries of architectural ambition, civic identity, and continual reinvention. Join Eddie Marcus on this incredible walking tour of the Perth CBD.
