Event description

PLEASE NOTE: Due to Level 2 restrictions still being in place, we will be operating the concert in 2 sessions, with reduced capacity in each, at the new times of 6:30pm and 8:30pm. To accommodate we have removed the intermission and live raffle draw and our concert will now have an approx run time of 75 minutes.

Arriving at The Piano

When arriving at the venue on Saturday we are asking all patrons to scan the COVID-19 Tracer App QR code on display or manually sign in on the sheet provided.

Indoor social distancing guidelines are to be adhered to at all times within the building, remaining 1 metre apart from all other patrons outside of your party.

Tickets are to be presented at the entrance to the foyer and only ticket holders will be permitted to enter the venue.

Our venue staff will be wearing masks for the evening and all audience members are required to be masked up in the foyer area of the venue.

Seat Allocation

Seating allocation will now be general admission. Every second row of the theatre will be cordoned off and the expectation is that each group of patrons leaves a spare seat between them and any other groups sitting in their row.

The front row and space in front of the stage will also be cordoned off to ensure the necessary distance from our onstage bubble of performers.

Please be aware that our audiences won’t exit the building post show through the foyer, but will exit directly out of the auditorium via the carpark.

Blackboard Theatre Collective is always proud to announce the return of our annual fundraising concert, this year titled Or So They Say.

This concert will see our fabulous cast of over 40 local artists perform songs from roles they wouldn’t traditionally be cast in. With a live band and musical direction by Cameron McHugh, this event always promises to be an amazing night of entertainment.

This is our fourth year producing this concert, and this year we’ll be raising funds for InsideOUT to support the mahi they are doing in Ōtautahi. For more information about the incredible work they do to make Aotearoa a safer place for our rainbow young people, check out their website insideout.org.nz

Join us at The Piano on October 9th as the theatrical community of Christchurch comes together for this one-night only spectacular!
