Event description

That Jesus of Nazareth is one of the most influential figures in history is beyond dispute. His life and teachings have profoundly shaped Western culture and he is worshiped by millions of Christians around the world.

However today, as never before, scholars are seeking to ‘get behind the gospels’ to reveal the ‘real’ Jesus as he lived within Roman occupied Judea in the first century. Who was he? How was he remembered? How were the stories about Jesus passed on? Do the gospels contain a reliable picture of Jesus?

These questions and others will be tackled at this 'Christian Origins Seminar' at St Barnabas and everyone is warmly invited to attend this free seminar. Please be seated promptly by 7.30pm. There will be an opportunity for Q and A at the end of the presentation.
