Explore how regenerative enterprises evolve, adapt, and transform in the face of challenge and change.


Overview

What drives or inspires a business to transform its model? What signals the need for adaptation—and how do we and our businesses respond?

In this special Orchard Exchange Peer Learning Circle, we’ll explore the theme of business model transformation through presentation, shared reflection, and deep dialogue. This is a chance to connect with fellow regenerative enterprise leaders navigating similar terrain.

Regen Labs will then share insights from research we are conducting for Adapt NSW, around emerging business archetypes that regenerative enterprises are implementing [in response to challenges and opportunities]—featuring examples and inspiration from enterprises in the Southern Highlands and beyond. 

🌀 Peer Dialogue: Responding to Transformation:
We’ll then explore what resonated and questions that get to the heart of how our enterprises evolve:

  • What resonated with you from the presentation?

  • What are the key risks and opportunities that shape your decision-making?

  • What motivates you to adapt or transform? 

  • How does your business transform? 

🌱 Harvest & Close
We’ll reconvene to reflect on insights, patterns, and what we’re each taking forward.

Regen Labs is really pleased to be able to share the Insights from its research with you, and iterate our thinking to inform the research. We're keen to provide real life feedback to the NSW government into how it can support business transformation. No direct attribution will be made.

Your learning circle facilitators

Reece Proudfoot is Co-Founder at Regen Labs, and a speaker on Regenerative Economy, Innovation and Impact Investing. Reece's work at Regen Labs sees him working alongside a new breed of "Regenerative Enterprises" - businesses with positive social, environmental and local economic impact in sectors, such as energy & carbon, food & fibre, health, education, tourism, finance, manufacturing and FMCG.   Reece was previously Head of Innovation and Impact Investment at WWF-Australia, achieving the AFR 'Most Innovative Company ' award in 2018. While at WWF he co-founded 'Panda Labs', WWF-Australia's innovation accelerator, which has now scaled into 12 countries in the WWF global network. He also led the Innovate to Regenerate Challenge, which deployed $2 million in seed funding to regenerative enterprises. His work focuses on ensuring regional communities are benefitting from the nationwide shift to a regenerative economy. His current focus with Regen Labs is on supporting the regenerative enterprise and regenerative finance sectors, working hand in hand with local communities, corporates, impact investors and governments. Reece lives and works on Gundungurra Country. 


Lucy is Strategy Advisory to Regen Labs, and joined the team as co-founder. Her specific areas of focus included strategy development and work programming, team planning, culture formation, product and service offering development, brand, and business model design. Lucy is on a mission to build better businesses, to enable humans to thrive. Previously, Lucy established the Sustainability Studio at Accenture Song in APAC, with over 10 years experience in crafting innovative strategies with global organisations to authentically embed sustainability into their business. Currently she is on the Green Pencil Jury of the OneShow judging global creative sustainability work. Within her role in the Sustainability Studio, she won the Cannes Titanium award for the teams’ work on Tuvalu’s Digital Nation. The team also produced a global research report, Our Human Moment, accompanied by an award-winning mini-documentary. Additionally, Lucy is an advisor to a few other regenerative businesses’ and is alumni of the Regenisis Institute. Lucy resides on Gadigal Country.

Dr Dimity Podger is co-founder of Regen Labs. She builds on the work she led as Regenerative Communities Project Manager with the Innovate to Regenerate team at WWF-Australia, working deeply with 3 regional communities, over a period of 18 months, growing a cohort of 65+ regenerative enterprises, and supportive partners.  Dimity has also served the Regen Places Network as co-convenor, led her own purpose-led enterprise advisory business, designed and facilitated peer-learning circles for The Regenerative Life Short Course, a masterclass series: Leading with nobility for a new era, and facilitated the The Regenerative Life Short Course for regenerative leadership.  She brings her passion for regeneration, regional entrepreneurship, and community catalysts and 20 years experience in leadership development, action learning, learning design and facilitation to the Orchard Exchange.  She resides on the lands of the Wodi Wodi people, on Dharawal Country.
