Discover how to transform virtual instruments into expressive, and realistic performances. Composer and orchestrator Felipe Téllez will demonstrate practical techniques for orchestral programming, musical phrasing, articulation, dynamics, spatial depth, and production—showing how thoughtful musical decisions can bring a digital mock-up to life.

Felipe Téllez is an award-winning composer, orchestrator, conductor, and educator working across film, television, concert music, and interactive media. His credits include Orah (TIFF 2023), Lost in Tomorrow, and Estimados Señores, which earned him the 2025 Macondo Award for Best Original Score, alongside orchestration work for acclaimed productions including YoungBlood (2026) and The Abnormal Beauty Company (2025). He co-founded the Canadian Studio Symphony and teaches music composition, production, orchestration, and technology at Toronto Metropolitan University. Felipe holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Toronto and a Master’s in Scoring for Film, Television, and Video Games from Berklee.
