Orchid Hunting 101

About Callum: I’m a passionate Conservationist with over 4 years’ experience in the industry. Early in my career, I found a humble nodding greenhood flower whilst out in the field. I was immediately fascinated by its intricate and complex structure, sparking the beginning of a special interest in native Australian orchids. Since then, I’ve hunted and admired orchids throughout Victoria and parts of South Western Australia and have contributed to their conservation through my work, sharing knowledge with my friends, family and peers to raise awareness of these often overlooked pockets of beauty throughout Country. I was thrilled to take on this workshop to continue spreading the knowledge and joy I’ve gained and experienced in hunting native orchids in Australia, and I’m excited to share what I’ve learned with all of you.
