Poetry readings by Karen Knight related to the theme of Organic Writing; exploring how words can evolve or develop naturally over time, without being forced or planned.

The audience is invited to bring a poem that relates to nature to read on the day. Karen will award 1st and 2nd best examples, with a prize for each of the book ‘At First Glance’ – A Tasmanian Landscape in Poetry & Photography (Karen Knight & Jules Witek) published by Forty South.

Afternoon tea provided, free event, registrations required.

A Natural Escape is a new initiative of Tasman Council with support funding from the Tasmanian Government, that will feature approx. 40 events, workshops, talks and activities across the whole Tasman region.

We will celebrate the Tasman region’s incredible natural environment and community spirit, while promoting sustainable tourism, engaging local businesses and encouraging community participation. The program includes nature-based experiences, science talks, guided walks, agriculture and marine-themed events with contributions from the arts, local tourism operators and community groups.
