The Oregon Section of IFT (OSIFT) invites you to our October dinner meeting at McMenamins Old Church in Wilsonville. This month’s program features the first-ever OSIFT Flash Talks, a fun way for our community to catch up on what’s happening in Food Science at OSU. We’ll also recognize outstanding students with the annual OSIFT scholarship awards.

6:30 pm - Program begins: Scholarship Awards & Flash Talks (approx. 6:30–7:30 pm, may extend slightly depending on number of contestants)

What to expect: The program will highlight OSU undergraduates, graduates, faculty, and staff sharing projects, research, internships, and community engagement in a fast-paced format. Student presenters compete for cash prizes, while faculty and staff compete for the “Bragging Rights Award.”

Who it’s for:
Open to anyone working in or supporting Oregon food & ag—producers, processors, food scientists/technologists, operations, retailers/foodservice, agencies, educators, and community partners. This meeting will be of special interest to OSIFT members, OSU Food Science students and faculty, and anyone curious about the latest activities in Food Science at OSU.
