• Is General Admission really free?

  Yes! General Admission to Ōtautahi Made is completely free from 10:00am - 4:00pm. We simply ask that you reserve a free ticket to help us manage numbers and make your arrival as smooth as possible.

• What does VIP Early Access include?

  VIP Early Access gives you exclusive entry from 9:00am - 10:00am, one hour before General Admission. Be among the first through the doors to enjoy a relaxed shopping experience, discover limited collections before they're gone, meet the makers, and access exclusive VIP-only offers, giveaways and special experiences.

• What is Sensory Hour?

  Our dedicated Sensory Hour runs from 3:00pm = 4:00pm and offers a calmer shopping experience with reduced sound and a more relaxed atmosphere. We believe everyone should feel welcome to enjoy Ōtautahi Made.

• Are all the products handmade?

  Every maker at Ōtautahi Made is individually curated to champion genuine handmade businesses and local creativity. While some makers may use carefully sourced components in their work, the focus is always on original, thoughtfully created products made by independent small businesses.

• Can I bring children?

  Absolutely! Ōtautahi Made is a family-friendly event and we love seeing visitors of all ages enjoying the market together.

• Is Te Pae Christchurch accessible?

  Yes. Te Pae Christchurch is a fully accessible venue with lift access, accessible toilets and step-free entry throughout the market.

• Can I bring my dog?

  Only registered assistance dogs are permitted inside Te Pae Christchurch.

• Is there food and coffee available?

  Yes! Alongside our artisan food makers, Te Pae's award-winning culinary team will be serving up a specially curated pop-up café throughout the day. From barista-made coffee to delicious food and sweet treats, it's the perfect place to relax and recharge while exploring the market.

• How can I pay?

  Most makers accept EFTPOS and contactless card payments, while some may also accept cash. An ATM will also be available onsite if you need it.

• Where can I park?

  There are several public parking buildings and street parking options within easy walking distance of Te Pae Christchurch. We recommend allowing a little extra time during busy periods.

• Can I leave and come back later?

  Yes. Once you've checked in, you're welcome to leave and return later during the event.

• Can I buy tickets at the door?

  General Admission is free, but we recommend reserving your ticket online before you arrive. VIP Early Access tickets may sell out before the event.
