Event description

Step with us into the Otherworld, a realm of magick and song. Be enchanted by music inspired by ancient Druidic redes from Tasmanian Jesse McCormack, rollicking Celtic tales accompanied on harp with Alasdair Greenbard and the whimsical dark fae band Blue Cocoon.

We encourage you to dress as the fae to invoke the atmosphere the Otherworld as we partake in the ecstatic communion of creation. Tickets are limited, so pre-booking is essential.

PROGRAM

7:10pm: Opening ceremony with Celtic blessings from our fae maidens.

7:30pm: Jesse McCormack

8:20pm: Alasdair Greenbard

9:00pm: Blue Cocoon

Jesse McCormack (on tour from Tasmania): With his clear, bardic voice, deeply imbued sense of rhythm, and intense devotion to his craft, Tasmanian troubadour Jesse McCormack performs Anglo-Celtic and Nordic folk songs and quirky original compositions.

Alasdair Greenbard, accompanied by his harp, Ètaìn, weaves nature, mysticism, music and spoken word into his wide range of work. He is a scholar of medieval history and Celtic languages, contemporary bard, composer and tradition-bearer. Tonight Alasdair will share ancient, otherworldly tales from his Celtic ancestors.

Blue Cocoon is a musical collective of performing artists based in the Blue Mountains. Bringing forth ambient folk with a deep forest groove; keeping roots down and vibes high. Drawing on themes of ecological connection, dark dreams, and the ancient faerie realm, with Celtic harp, flutes, mandolin, violin, guitars, double bass, electronic textures and polyrhythmic percussion they weave intricate melodies into tapestries of acoustic trance.
