WARDANDI COUNTRY, BUNBURY

Welcome to OUR BUSINESS, where we bring together art centre artists, staff and board for this specially designed forum.


Mark your calendars and start planning your trip. We’re excited to see everyone and spend a few days working together to shape the future of OUR BUSINESS.


Addressing professional development needs for WA Aboriginal art centres, independent Aboriginal artists and sector professionals. Professional development topics include:  copyright & licensing, contracts, governance training, SAM training, story-crafting, practical studio skills, arts funding, how to start an art centre, and more.

Professional Development (Tues - Thursday): Presenters include Artist from the Noongar Arts Program, Arts Law, Centre for Stories, Desart, DLGSC, Indigenous Art Code, IVAIS, Ngalang Wongi Aboriginal Cultural Tours, RAWA and Woolkabunning Kiaka Aboriginal Corporation. Plus workshops from Art Centre members and Independent specialists.

Symposium Day (Friday): A showcase of WA Aboriginal artist and cultural initiatives from local and regional artists.  The day includes performances, artists talks and a series of panel discussions: Making Art Together, Artists in Focus and Cultural Experiences.
