A 3-week online journey into the heart of sacred darkness, fierce love, and transformative mystery

She rises from the depths—face black as the fertile soil, eyes steady with compassion and truth. She is the Black Madonna: ancient, fierce, and tender. Not a sky-bound saviour, but a rooted presence, Our Lady Under Earth calls us down into the dark caves of becoming, to strip away illusion and meet what is real.

Join this soul-centred series to walk with the Black Madonna as guide, teacher, and mirror. Rooted in mythology, ancient goddess lineages, and modern mysticism, we will explore her stories and symbols, her altars and waters, her truth giving gaze, her constancy and presence.

Together, we’ll engage in deep meditation journeys, prayer and creative expression, that awakens courage, self-trust, and renewal through the loving heart of the dark mother. This is a journey for those ready to enter the fertile dark, to listen, release, and remember what is holy, whole, and hidden within.

Week 1 July 10, 7-8.30pm - The Cave of Initiation: Meeting the Black Madonna

Explore the ancient roots and symbolism of the Black Madonna - her myths, fierce presence and ties to Cybele, Isis, Kali and dark goddesses of the earth. Meeting in Her dark cave of sacred presence - she who watches with unwavering love. Entering the embrace of the dark. Activating an altar to the dark mother.

Week 2 July 17, 7-8.30pm – Descent into Her Womb: Shadow, Loss, and Alchemy

Entering the transformative dark and meeting the Black Madonna —death, decay, shadow work, and grief. Facing what’s breaking down while being held by Her presence of fierce, loving compassion and alchemy. The arising of courage, enfolded in Grace as you enter her womb - a space of stillness, transformation, and the clearing of illusion. Creating an anointing oil of deliverance.

Week 3 July 31, 7-8.30pm – Her Waters of Renewal: Healing, Vision & Rebirth

Immerse yourself in the healing springs and wells of the Black Madonna - sacred waters of release, revelation and renewal. Release, heal, and awaken to the deep wisdom of earth and body. Opening to the medicine of the Black Madonna that’s rising now, personally and collectively.

JACQUI BUSHELL has been loving the wild abundance of the earth for much of her life.  Founder of the Sacred Presence School of Embodied Wisdom and creator of the Magdalene Oils of Anointing, she is an inspiring teacher, storyteller, transformational healing practitioner, Reiki teacher and plant spirit alchemist.  For 30 years, Jacqui has been facilitating women’s circles, workshops, training programs and retreats around the world, to enhance a deep sense of belonging through reconnecting with nature and the sacred feminine. Jacqui inspires people to live passionately and creatively, in communion with the earth, spirit and their soul wisdom.
