Ngarami and Albert in their own words......
Ngarami McKellar is from Palmerston, Northern Territory. He is currently a Junior Mentor for the Worldview Foundation in Canberra. Ngarami spent a lot of his youth doing crime which resulted in time in Don Dale. He is now focused on mentoring and youth works and supporting people to break out of a gang mentality.
Albert Barker is from Brewarrina, NSW and lives in Canberra working as a Senior Mentor at Worldview. He was in and out of prison between 1997 to 2018 and now uses his lived experience to help mentor Indigenous youth in Canberra. Worldview is an Indigenous not-for-profit organisation that creates new opportunities for vulnerable young people through a holistic life program and employment program. Worldview was started by two men - Jamie and Kurt - and has helped a huge number of people.Without Worldview, Albert would not have been able to turn his own life around and do the things he now does including staying clean and sober for over 8 years.
