A special Gippsland premiere screening of the new documentary- Our Warrior: The Story of Robbie Thorpe - A story of resistance across generations, the power of family and the unrelenting struggle for justice in a country that remains in denial.
ONE NIGHT ONLY! This 53-minute documentary shows the making of this modern grassroots leader and tracks the resurgence of a powerful Black, Indigenous, anti-colonial movement that is reshaping the country.
The screening will be followed by a panel with special guests Aunty Marji Thorpe and other key people involved in the film.
The film is for all ages. Content warning: contains discussion of genocide.
Proceeds from the screening will go towards the Goongerah Environment Centre's (GECO) Emerald Link campaign work and the Gippsland and East Gippsland Aboriginal Co-operative (GEGAC)
