Description

Since 1 July 2026, the psychosocial Code of Practice is an enforceable benchmark in New South Wales. A SafeWork NSW inspector does not need a claim, a complaint or an incident to find a breach. Size is not a defence. It never was.

This first session sets out what the law asks of you, in the words you would use yourself.

What is covered

  • What changed on 1 July 2026, and what has actually been in force since 2022. The obligation is not new. The benchmark is

  • The personal duty that sits on you as an officer, separately from the duty on the business

  • The three businesses whose situations run through the whole series: the accountant's quarter, the Christmas counter, the front desk

  • The three questions an inspector asks: what did you know, what did you do, and where is it written down

On the day: an opening poll on what you already knew about the July change, and a self-scored run at the inspector's three questions. Nobody sees your answers but you.

Takeaway: a one-page plain language summary of the duty, emailed after the session with the recording and slides.

45 minutes. Free. Online via Microsoft Teams, link sent on registration.
