Event description

Commune with where the Earth & Sky meet.

Led by the soulful soundscape of DJai Ma, guided by the wisdom of Ceri (Soularliving).

We will move and dance in a stunning location on the shores of Lake Hāwea, surrounded by the Mountains and Water.

How dreamy can it get?

•••

From the rooted stability of the earth to the great expanse of the sky, we extend an invitation to explore the interconnectedness of body and spirit. Transition from solidity to lightness as we journey from form to surrender.

Join us in embracing the fluid nature of our existence, surrendering to the earth's rhythms and the pulsation of our own hearts. Let's unite in dance, celebrating the vitality of life, the liberation of spirit, and the endless potential dwelling within each of us.

We can't wait to share this special event with you! Dancing and enjoying life to our greatest capacity under the summer sun and surrounded by wonderful nature and beautiful humans. YUM!

Come to explore the deep connection to self, other and nature.

Somatic Dance is a guided freeform movement journey, held in a safe and sacred container.

This style of dance is inspired by freeform movement, ecstatic dance, 5 Rhythms and deep ecology.

Drop into the connection between the body of self and wider body of nature

We will move to discover ourselves on a deeper level, therefore being able to connect deeply with others and nature that surrounds us. This is a powerful experience of communion with all of life.

What is somatic dance:

A space to gather and reclaim the joy and release of dancing in a non-judgmental space. The recipe is simple: No booze, no shoes, great music, and an epic tribe come together to dance.

Don't worry about steps or form or how you look, it's not that kind of dance. Our dance is one that throws the rule books away and instead encourages you to release to the music and let go of that pesky judging mind. When we step on the dance floor, we include our whole selves, even the frightened parts that want to hide.

We dance through pain and sorrow.

We dance with joy until our hard edges soften and our masks fall away.

We meet other courageous dancers, weaving unbreakable threads of connection.

our friendships transcend the boundaries of time and space. and it all melts together–beat, movement, breath–into a swirling vortex we call community.

As the throbbing pulse of the dance floor matches our own heartbeat, we know, without a doubt, we are not alone.

WE HAVE COME TO BE DANCED.
