Event description

Join award winning presenter, Lucy Rasheed from Sea Star Rock and the Education Team at the Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium for this joyful, hands-on collaboration created just for Early Years and Primary teachers.

Be among the first to discover a suite of new learning resources from the Botanic Gardens, designed to encourage connection to nature through hands on, authentic and curriculum aligned activities. Explore Adelaide Botanic Garden and learn about how embedding art, stories and creativity in nature can positively impact the wellbeing of your learners.

Your session with Lucy from Sea Star Rock will combine vocal health, spoken word, nature-inspired creativity, and practical ideas for embedding music, drama, and storytelling into the outdoor classroom. Build literacy and oracy through meaningful vocal exploration and learn ways to make text-based learning active, embodied, and fun.

·       Feel confident using your voice effectively and sustainably

·       Have a toolkit of fun, adaptable activities for immediate use

·       Be equipped to foster creativity, confidence and wellbeing in your students through voice
