Hour 2 — The Famous 36 Questions
At the end of the first hour, you’ll have the chance to choose your partner(s) for this round. Be brave and express your choice - this is part of the experience. Vulnerability is a powerful dating skill, and this event gives you a safe way to practise it.

💡 Special Note: The 36 Questions were popularised by a New York Times Modern Love essay inspired by psychologist Arthur Aron’s closeness study. They’re designed to move you past autopilot small talk and help people feel meaningfully connected in under an hour. In that essay, two colleagues even went on to fall in love and get married. Since then, people worldwide have used them to spark deeper connection.

Hour 3 — Open Mingle
Now it’s your time. Continue a conversation that sparked your interest, or approach someone new. Exchange contact details with pen + paper before the night ends (we don’t forward details afterward).

What ages is this event for?
This event is for ages 18+. To make sure conversations feel natural and comfortable, we group guests into similar age brackets during the first hour. That way, when it’s time to choose your 36 Questions partner(s), you’ll already have met singles in your age range.

Our typical age groups are:

• 18–30

• 25–45

• 35–55

• 45–65+

Are the genders balanced?
We do our best to keep the mix of genders fairly balanced (by monitoring ticket sales) so the event isn’t skewed (eg, 80% women). That said, it’s not always exact - and honestly, that can be a bonus for some (straight men, take note 😉).

This event is open to male, female, and non-binary guests, so you’ll have the opportunity to practise building connections with people of all genders. If you’d like, you can also choose your preferred gender to partner with for the 36 Questions round on the night.

What if I want a refund?
Tickets are non-refundable. Transfers may be possible for a $25 admin fee up to 48 hours before the event.
